VINEYARDSMunicipality of Monforte d'Alba in the Perno area.The Perno hamlet is located in the municipal district of Monforte d'Alba and is one of the most prestigious areas in the Barolo territory. Here our vineyards are characterized by tuffaceous soil with layers of red soil, sand and clay which date back to the Helvetian era.

AGEINGAgeing in wood and then in bottle give the Barolo Perno unique features.

TASTING NOTESThe colour is deep red with garnet hues and the nose has hints of red fruits with spicy notes and a light touch of mineral and toasted.Once inside the mouth, the fullness, acidity and fruity notes are well balanced, leaving space for a great end with important tannins. It is a longevity wine able to further transform its olfactory and gustatory sensations over the years.

GASTRONOMIC PAIRINGSExcellent companion to important main courses such as braised meats, roastsand red meat in general, also to be tried with aged cheeses.
