Castellinaldo Barbera d'Alba

The “Castellinaldo” sub-area

At the end of a legislative process that lasted several decades, the peculiar characteristics of the Barbera vineyards located in the municipality of Castellinaldo and surrounding areas have finally been recognised. Lands characterized by loose and sandy calcareous soils, old vineyards, well exposed and with a high number of vines, transmit particular qualitative characteristics to the grapes suitable for obtaining structured and long-lived wines.
