With traditions dating back more than a century, Nebbiolo d'Alba is without question the most important wine produced in this area. Nebbiolo is one of the oldest native varieties, and these grapes are grown on slopes in the very best positions at the top of the most inaccessible and uneven hills. The wine is deep ruby-red with soft orange highlights, and has a delicate bouquet and a dry, well-bodied and nicely tannic taste.
